Sounds of the Soul

Sounds of the Soul

The zephyrs of a new and divine springtime are wafting their fragrant breaths from the invisible, world. . . .The gentle winds of grace are blowing. Now doth the mystic nightingale carol its odes. . . In flower-spangled meadows hath the divine springtime pitched its tents…The field larks are becoming the festival’s musicians. They cry and sing. . . Blessed are ye! Glad Tidings! Glad Tidings! All this that withered souls…may come to throbbing life again. The Call of God hath been raised. The light of His countenance hath been lifted up upon men. Let us see the light wherever it shines. May we be enabled to recognize the light of truth no matter where it may arise. Let us inhale the perfume of the rose. Let us drink the running water from every pure spring.  Bahá’í Faith Writings

“The Divine Springtime has come.  Within the realms of holiness . . . a new garden hath appeared.  Strive then, that ye may unravel the mysteries of love from its windflowers, learn the secret of Divine and consummate wisdom, from its eternal fruits.” “Now doth the mystic nightingale carol its odes . . .” “The verdure and foliage of spiritual growth are appearing in great abundance in the gardens of human hearts.”  “. . . the birds are singing among the rose branches announcing the glad-tidings. . .”  Bahá’í Faith Writings

Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away, for lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth, the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.  Song of Solomon

Consider the flowers of a garden:  though differing in kind, colour, form and shape, yet inasmuch as they are refreshed by the waters of one spring, revived by the breath of one wind, invigorated by the rays of one sun, this diversity increaseth their charm and addeth unto their beauty.  ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God’s heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.       Dorothy Frances Gurney

If you desire with all your heart friendship with every race on earth, youth thought, spiritual and positive, will spread; it will become the desire of others, growing stronger and stronger.  ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

Listen in deep silence; Be very still and open your mind . . .
Sink deep into peace that waits for you beyond the frantic, riotous thoughts and sights and sounds … A Course in Miracles

O Thou the Compassionate God! Bestow upon me a heart which, like unto glass, may be illumined with the light of Thy love, and confer upon me a thought which may change this world into a rose-garden through the spiritual bounty. Thou art the Compassionate, the Merciful! Thou art the Great Beneficent God!" ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

All of creation from the farthest horizons to our deepest innermost self is teaching us…revealing to us…the manifest presence of the Divine.  Camille Helminski

May we open. May we flower.
May we deepen our desire.
May we walk this world with eyes wide open.
May we walk with hearts on fire.
Blessed Be.

I honour the journey of my soul.
I gather the wisdom of my life.
I open myself to new vistas.
I come home.
